Tour Plan
On arrival at Bagdogra Airport, Our tour representative will assist in transfer to Phuentsholing. It will take 4 hrs to reach India -Bhutan Border. You can opt to stay either in India side Jaigaon or Bhutan side Phuentsholing of Bhutan. Check into the hotel, the evening is free to explore the local market of Bhutan. Overnight at Phuentsholing.
After morning breakfast, our Guide will take you to immigration office where formalities to be done. After being done then transfer to Thimphu, on arrival check-into the hotel. On the way visit :- Kharbandi Gumba Evening time can be spent strolling through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar, to browse through examples of Bhutan's fine traditional arts. Here you can buy hand-woven textiles, thangka paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, and interesting items made from local materials. Overnight at Thimphu
After breakfasts drive to thimplhu for loca sightseeing as per the time permits. Visit memorial Chorten, Tashichho Dzong, Buddha Point, Lhakhang (Monastery), Motithang Takin Preservation Centre, Drupthob Goernba / Zilukha Nunnery, Textiles Museum (Handicrafts Shops closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Zangthopelri Lhakhang (Monastery). Later Check into the hotel. Overnight at Thimphu.
After breakfast drive to Wangdi (Wangdiphodrang) / 4430Fts, 70 Kms / 03 to 3% Hrs One way). Wangdi is the last town on the highway before entering Central Bhutan The drive is over Dochu La pass (3080Mts / 10102Fts) which is very scenic with fascinating view of mountains of Bhutan. At Punakha visit Punakha Dzong, Chimi Lhakhang and some other places. Later check into the hotel, overnight at Punakha.
After an early breakfast, Drive from Punakha to Paro , Later Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery Later Hike to Tiger Nest Monastery.Tiger Nest Monastery (Taktsang Lhakhang) is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom. It is believed that Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a tigress from Khenpajong. This place was consecrated to tame the Tiger demon, was first built in 1692 at a cave where Guru Rimpoche meditated in a cave, in the 7th century A.D. for 3 years, 3 months, 3 days and 3 hours in order to subdue evil demons residing within it. The cave has been considered a sacred site ever since and many famous saints have travelled to meditate in it.In order to arrive at the temple you must trek for around 2-3 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests that are colorfully festooned with moss and prayer flags. On many days, clouds shroud the monastery and give an eerie feeling of remoteness. No trip to Bhutan would be complete without a visit to this remarkable heritage site. Overnight at paro.
After breakfast go for Paro sightseeing covering Dzong (presently closed for tourist), Ta Dzong (National Museum-closed on Saturday, Sunday & National Holiday), Rinpung Kyihu Lhakhang then come back to hotel. Evening is free for shopping in Paro. Overnight at Hotel.
After morning breakfast , Check out from the hotel drive to Phuentsholing ,Once reach to Phuentsholing Our Indian Vehicle will receive you and drop you to Bagdogra. Tour ends
